You get the same power plant on both the 2023 Harley-Davidson Low Rider ST and Low Rider S — a Milwaukee-Eight® V-twin 117 with precision air/oil cooling— and an identical set of performance specs. The big twin makes a pavement-scorching 125 pound-feet of torque and over 100 horsepower. Between all that power and the rear wheel, you get a six-speed Cruise Drive® transmission. To help maximize the engine performance, you also get a heavy breather air intake and 2-into-2 shotgun exhaust.

2023 Harley-Davidson Low Rider ST vs. Low Rider S Safety & Technology

Stop with confidence on the 2023 Harley-Davidson Low Rider ST and Low Rider S. Both bikes come with dual front brakes for added stopping power. Anti-lock brakes are standard on the Low Rider ST and available on the Low Rider S. When it comes to being seen, both bikes include an LED headlamp and an LED Zeppelin tail lamp with incandescent blinkers. Additional rider safety enhancements, including a traction control system, are available on both bikes.

On the Low Rider S, you get a 4-inch analog tachometer along with a digital speedometer, gear, odometer, fuel level, clock, trip, and range indicator. Comparatively, the Low Rider ST takes a digital approach to your gauges with a low-profile 2.14-inch “tech gauge” with readouts for the speedometer, gear, odometer, fuel level, clock, trip, range, and tachometer. Cruise control is newly standard on both bikes.

2023 Harley-Davidson Low Rider ST vs. Low Rider S Dimensions

While the 2023 Harley-Davidson Low Rider ST and Low Rider S have many of the same dimensions — length, rake, trail, and seat height to name a few — there are a few key differences to note. Because it’s a sport touring bike, the Low Rider ST has removable and lockable clamshell saddlebags that add 1.9 cubic feet of cargo carrying space and a frame-mounted fairing inspired by the FXRT. This helps make the Low Rider ST a slightly heavier bike. Both bikes are made for lone-wolf riding with a deep solo seat.
