2023 Fat Bob 114 vs. Low Rider S Engine Specs & Powertrain

Big-twin power helps you conquer any road on the 2023 Harley-Davidson Fat Bob 114 or Low Rider S. Of the two bikes, you get a bigger Milwaukee-Eight® engine on the Low Rider S. Its 117 cubic-inch engine has the most torque output and largest displacement of any current Harley-Davidson factory-installed powerplant. Taking in air through a Heavy Breather intake, the Low Rider S engine makes 125 pound-feet of torque and is cooled with a combination air and oil system. Announce your presence through the 2-into-2 offset shotgun exhaust.

By comparison, the Fat Bob 114 is built with a Milwaukee-Eight 114 engine that makes 118 pound-feet of torque. It breathes through a ventilator air intake and out through a custom-finished 2-1-2 upswept exhaust.

Both bikes include an inverted front fork with single-cartridge technology and a hidden, free-piston coil-over rear monoshock that you can adjust without any tools on the Fat Bob 114.

Ride with up to 47 combined city and highway MPG on either motorcycle. However, one difference to note is their fuel tank; the Low Rider S has a larger 5-gallon gas tank than the 3.5-gallon tank on the Fat Bob 114.

2023 Fat Bob 114 vs. Low Rider S Safety & Technology

Visibility, stopping power, and easily viewable gauges characterize the 2023 Harley-Davidson Fat Bob 114 and Low Rider S. LED headlamps are standard on both motorcycles, but the Fat Bob 114 has an incandescent bullet taillamp while the Low Rider S has an LED Zeppelin tail lamp. Dual front brakes on both bikes boost your ability to stop; an antilock braking system upgrade is available for either one. Additionally, Low Rider S offers a rider safety enhancements upgrade and optional traction control.

Both bikes feature a 4-inch analog tachometer plus a digital speedometer, gear indicator, odometer, fuel level, clock, trip, and range readouts. The Low Rider S is just an inch longer than the Fat Bob 114 and 4 pounds heavier in running order. Despite its name, the Low Rider S rides 1 inch higher than the Fat Bob 114.
