2024 Harley-Davidson Nightster Special Engine Specs & Powertrain

Zip off into an evening on the road with the liquid-cooled V-twin engine on the 2024 Harley-Davidson Nightster Special — the Revolution® Max 975T. While the engine makes its maximum torque at over 5,000 RPM, it’s tuned to make more of it available at lower revs for a more engaging and responsive ride. Compared with the 2023 model year, the 2024 Nightster Special makes slightly more horsepower and torque. The Nightster Special engine feeds from a 3.1-gallon fuel tank and gets up to 52 combined MPG. Out the right side of the engine, a 2-into-1 exhaust provides a unique, powerful look.

Between the engine and the rear wheel, you get a gear-type primary drive, an eight-plate assist and slip wet clutch, a six-speed automatic transmission, and belt final drive. Tailor the handling and performance of your bike to the conditions ahead with four selectable riding modes — road, rain, sport, and custom.

To help keep your bike both nimble and the front tire firmly in touch with the road ahead, you get 41-millimeter SHOWA® dual bending valve conventional front forks. Under these, you’ll find a 19-inch front wheel, along with a 16-inch rear wheel — both are wrapped with Dunlop® Harley-Davidson Series tires.

Designed with smarts and systems that support your ride, the 2024 Harley-Davidson Nightster Special is proof that modern sport bikes are about more than just speed and agility. Overall, the tech you’ll find on the Nightster Special is practical, but understated, allowing you to enjoy the riding experience to the max.

Infotainment — The Nightster Special comes with a round 4-inch color screen for all your key readouts, including the speedometer, gear, odometer, fuel level, clock, trip, ambient temperature, range, and tachometer indicators. Bluetooth® capability for your phone is also standard, allowing you to enjoy phone calls, music, and navigation through the H-D app.

Lighting — Fully modern lighting casts the darkness aside on the Nightster Special. An all-LED headlamp, including low and high beam with signature position lighting, all-LED rear lighting, and LED blinkers provide excellent visibility after dark.

Rider Safety — The Nightster Special features a standard anti-lock brake system for its 320-millimeter front brake and 260-millimeter rear brake. Among its standard rider safety enhancements, you’ll find a traction control system, a drag-torque slip control system, and a tire pressure monitoring system.

2023 Harley-Davidson Nightster Special Engine Specs & Powertrain

Carve up city streets and country roads with equal confidence on the 2023 Harley-Davidson Nightster Special. It’s powered by a liquid-cooled, V-Twin Revolution® Max 975T engine that makes 70 pound-feet of torque and can get up to 52 combined MPG. The Nightster Special is fed by a 3.1-gallon fuel tank and sends its power through a six-speed transmission.

As a member of the Sport bike family in the H-D lineup, the Nightster Special is tuned for agility and sporty handling. 2023 Harley-Davidson Nightster Special Safety & Technology

Riding the 2023 Nightster Special is a connected experience — you can tell it’s a new model with tech for modern riders. Bluetooth® with phone and media support allow you to show directions from the H-D App on your phone on the 4-inch round TFT display. Additional readouts on this display include the speedometer, gears, odometer, fuel level, clock, trip, temperature, cruise, and fuel range calculator. Additionally, USB-C port support allows you to keep your phone charged.

A full range of LED lighting — including LED headlamp, rear lighting and LED bullet turn signals — helps you stay visible to drivers and light up the road ahead. Beyond the excellent lights, the Nightster Special also offers several convenient standard safety and assistance features, including:
